Privacy Policy
CampusBright provides QR ID cards and attendance software to schools. We take the privacy of students and staff seriously. This summary explains, in plain language, how data is handled. It is a starting point — please replace it with your organisation’s finalised policy before launch.
Whose data we process
CampusBright processes data on behalf of the schools that use it. Each school is the owner of its students’ information. We act as a processor and only use the data to provide the service.
What data is stored
- Student records entered by the school (name, roll number, class, and optional details such as guardian names, contact numbers and photos).
- Attendance events (check-in, check-out and re-entry) recorded when a tag is scanned.
- Staff account details needed to sign in and operate the apps.
Student photos and safety
Student photos are uploaded by school staff through the CampusBright Scanner app, from within the school. The printed QR tag deliberately carries no student name, photo or address — only the school’s name and a short ID — so no personal information about the child is exposed on the card itself.
How data is used
Data is used solely to operate attendance, the student directory and the digital ID card for the school. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Data security
Access is restricted by role and scoped to each school. Data is stored on secured infrastructure with access controls appropriate to the sensitivity of student information.
